wonderful! hopefully this week i will be able to post the recipe i used based on my papa's camping experience with his dutch and swedish buddies! they made beer batter pancakes poured over bacon folded around sharp cheddar and apple sauce. we made beer batter pancakes poured over bacon (or tempeh) topped with sharp cheddar and caramelized apples. i was SUPER impressed with the beer batter pancakes, really fantastic, thin, and delicious!

I made some of your "basic" pancakes for our Belgian family visitors- they loved them! I've been able to make pancakes in the past okay- but these came out really lovely thanks to your explanations.

I substituted a bit of whole wheat flour (1/4 cup)but made otherwise made them as per your recipe. The fun part was serving them with real maple syrup (very expensive and only available in small quantities in Belgium) with a dollop of creme fraiche (homemade) that had some of my Buddha Hand candied lemon stirred in- hmmmmmm.

Thanks for another great series!

OK, so we have a plum tree that produces plums ever other year, and we can never use them all. So of course, my thought was to use this years crop for something alcoholic. This will be my first attempt at a sour fruit/brett beer. I can already imagine (two years from now) how fabulous the beer will be. Well see - thanks for posting this recipe, it is the only plum beer recipe I could find.

My aunt made olive oil and rosemary cookies a while back, and I loved them, but kept forgetting to ask her for the recipe. I've got to give these a try- thanks for posting!

Yes, but you might want to use a little less than you would with lime since they are more acidic.
