So, in March I realized that my site had been infected with malicious php code, making it so occasionally pages would be redirected spamerific sites. I am tech-smart enough to know what the problem was, but not tech-smart enough to write a code to fix it. So I copied my whole site to my hard drive and took it down. Luckily! I have two very smart friends who wrote codes to fix it for me (thank you Mykle and Orion!), but it was still a huge deal and a giant hassle. SO, several months later, I finally got it back up. HOORAY! In those months I was editioning old and new stickers for the UCSC print sale. Here are some photos of the new stickers and a couple of old ones.

I also printed up new stickers for The Bad Light, a local doom blues band that is fucking awesome. seriously.

These are relief printed then dusted with gold pigment. After they dry I wipe them down to remove the excess.

And here they are! All packaged up and ready to go! I did pretty well in the sale, but the folks running it couldn’t find/forgot to put out my second day’s inventory… bummer.

Finally made some stickers for Emily’s new band Slumber Party. They are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I am super pumped.

Quick update. Here are the stickers I did this week and last week. My scanner is broken, and I got a new phone which doesn’t take very great photos, so I actually brought my camera up to the studio this time.

This is the block I used, carved out of Speedy-Cut (my favorite).

Printed 100 of them today.

Last week I printed 100 of these flowers inspired by Kai Smart’s recent tattoo design work, which is in turn inspired by Thomas Hooper’s tattoo and design work.

Today I printed some new stickers and picked up some band stickers for How Dare you and a secret band that I have taken to calling “Forest on Fire”. I don’t know why they are secret.

It’s hard to see in these phone photos, but there is a white moon, even on the light stickers.

In order to do that I had to block the moon out with tape each time I rolled the grey (ie. for every sticker) then ink it with a TINY brayer in white.

These are the Forest on Fire and How Dare You stickers. The Forest on Fire stickers were done with metallic powder. The red ones are actually super bitchin, but they don’t scan very well.

To make them I hand colored each sticker…

Then printed in white, then dusted them. Today I wiped the dust off, which is kind of gnarly. I’m going to buy myself a can of silver ink so I don’t have to deal with the powders as often.

On Friday I printed Miss Lonelyhearts stickers.

When I finished up, I biked down from campus to go the Dead Daughter, Grogs, and Mammatus show (which was amazing) and got to bike through a huge fog bank (also awesome).

On Friday I made stickers for How Dare You. I love them.

Today, Emily and I made stickers for her band Pocket Watch.

These are hers. She also made a super amazing arrow that I adopted for some of mine:
